Mr. T Returns in Rocky 6 In the best news I've heard all day, Mr. T is set to reprise his role as Clubber Lang (the only man to defeat Rocky during his championship reign in the movies) in Rocky 6.
Now, I'm a little bit torn over this. I'm one of the only guys on the plant who actually really liked Rocky 5 (it was a very different Rocky film... and it had it's weaknesses, but I still thought it was a solid movie). However, I think the notion of a Rocky 6 is a stupid idea. You can only go

Death of an Evangelista
Authors: Allana Martin. Hardcover, 260 pagesPublisher: St Martins Pr Publication Date: 1999-03 Edition: 1st Reviews :

Award-winning author Allana Martin brings us another adventure of the very likable Texana Jones, owner of a trading post in Presidio County, across the Rio Grande from Mexico. An ugly and frightening episode--a dead man occupying the taxi Texana enters on her way home from a dentist appointment in Mexico--is an indication of a local attitude that has smoldered for more than a century and lately seems to be about to flame up once more. La frontera is a place whose Catholic heritage is jealously guarded and where Protestant evangelism is met with hostility and even violence--only recently two Mormon missionaries have disappeared in a remote village. Now, in Presidio, a woman named Electra has arrived and she, too, is preaching conversion. When Texana and Father Jack, the new Catholic priest, visit La Noria, the lush ranch belonging to the long-established Spanish-American Haro family, they find a conflict is roiling in that established house. Alicia, the padrone's granddaughter, has become Electra's devoted follower. In defense of his strong opposition, the elder Haro gives the visitors the story of the conflicts, both religious and political, in his own family that hardened his antagonism toward such preachers and their preaching. Texana is shaken and Father Jack apprehensive as they leave to deliver Electra's grocery order. Their fears are more than justified. There is hatred and murder, and Texana suddenly finds herself reviled and shunned by the people in the town who she thought were her friends--and customers. Epithets are shouted at her, insults painted on the trading post wall. Even more frightening, there are threats of worse to come before Texana, backed by her husband, Clay, her father, and their loyal friend Pete Rosales, can win back friendship and respect without having to compromise her beliefs....

Death Of The River Master (Wwl Mystery)
Authors: Allana Martin. Mass Market Paperback, 256 pagesPublisher: Worldwide Library Publication Date: 2004-09-01 Reviews :
Allana Martin's sixth color-filled mystery, set in a remote spot on the Mexican-American border, opens with an unexpected and terrible blow for trading-post owner Texana Jones. Her husband, Clay, a popular veterinarian with patients on both sides of the (almost dry) Rio Grande, has been arrested for the murder of the river master, the official in charge of allocating the region's scan water supply under the terms of the binational agreement. Now Clay is in jail awaiting trial in a Mexican court.
Having lived all her life on the fringe of Mexico, Texana is anything but naive about their harsh legal system - where there is no such thing as bail, habeas corpus, probation, or early release. The fate of the accused is not in the hands of a jury, but the hands of a single judge, a judge who may be fair, or who may have self-interests that will sway the verdict. And, unfortunately, the latter is more likely.
Determined to find incontrovertible evidence of Clay's innocence that even the most venial judge would not dare to overlook, she delves into the river master's background - at no small risk. Whoever is behind all this is determined to hold on to the spoils of the effort. Texana must use all her senses, her ingenuity, and her courage to free her blameless husband from the coils of the Mexican judicial snare and the enemy behind it.
Martin's firm hold on the unusual lives of the people who live - and try to make a living against many odds - in the small area where these stories are set pulls readers into a world they never knew. The strength and reality of Texana Jones's extraordinary common sense and human understanding convince her readers that she's their friend, one whose adventures they share.
